Again, please write to ask any questions you may have. All of the signatures from him were still in the autograph book when I received it, and I have separated and grouped them based on the signatures' relevance. The notations at the bottom of the paper were either made buy Spritzler or a relative (who the book was passed down to). As Spritzler's harmonica quartet gained popularity, he did travel and amassed signatures from around the northeastern corridor of the United States as he played for different crowds. Spritzler was from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area so many signatures that we have from his collection relate back to the Philadelphia area. If you do have any questions, please write and ask. These signatures came from an autograph book collected by a Harmonica Player named Ramon Spritzler. The paper is in good condition for its age, you can see the entire sheets in some of the images. The signature itself measures about 2" long on the same sheet as Biddle's signature. The back side of the sheet has a signature that I can not identify, but it appears to be someone by the name of Glasser. The signature is at the top of the sheet and measures about 3" long with the paper measuring about 4.5" x 3.5".
The front side appears to have the signature of US Marine Anthony Joseph Drexel Biddle, Sr. The second sheet actually has signatures on both sides. One signature is that of Smedley Butler, the signature itself measures about 2.25" long and the paper it is on measures 4" x 3.5". Up for auction is a set of two vintage US Military signatures from the 1920s.
